Student Progression & Success by College

The Student Progression & Success by College dashboard’s purpose is to visualize the volume of outcomes in a specific college over time and to emphasize major shifts within the college. The group consists of any student who enrolled in a major belonging to the selected college in any term within the 6-year range (at the time of census capture) AND belongs to the selected cohort year and type.

Each column represents a Fall Term. The width of the bands in between the terms are directly proportional to the volume of students. The color of the bands are related to the latter term’s outcome for that group of students. There are hundreds of unique possible paths a student could take over the 6 years displayed; users can hover over any unique path to see the volume of students who follow that path.

The pie charts show a current status of the students in the group, so they possibly encompass more than the 6-years displayed.

Student Net, Gain, or Loss by College/Major

The Student Net, Gain, and Loss by College (or Major) dashboard is an interactive table that shows the relationship of the number of students entering/leaving a college (or major) with each of the other colleges (or majors) at UGA by each term for a selected Fall cohort year and type. If you want to know the number of students gained in a certain term you will select ‘Gain’. Similarly, if you want to know the number of students lost in a certain term you will select ‘Loss’. Finally, if you want to know the net of the gain and lost students you will select ‘Net’. This table does not show when/if students leave the University, only movement between colleges (or majors).
